UBC Sauder launches UBC Master of Business Analytics

We’re excited to introduce the new 9-month UBC Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) program.

The UBC Sauder School of Business’ Robert H. Lee Graduate School has created the UBC MBAN to respond to the business community’s growing demand for skilled analytics professionals with a strong understanding of business.  Building on the success of the Master of Management in Operations Research (MMOR) program, the UBC MBAN will provide students with rigorous training in analytics and will enhance their quantitative expertise with business acumen to produce graduates who can make impactful business decisions.

  • Courses will have a deep focus on data handling and analytics, as well as fundamental business skills in the areas of marketing and operations.
  • Optional analytics consulting internships provide MBAN candidates with the opportunity to work on industry projects at UBC Sauder’s Centre for Operations Excellence (COE).  Successful applicants will work on a consulting project with one of the COE’s industry partners, which includes some of the largest analytics employers on Canada’s West Coast.
  • Elements critical to excelling in business, such as project management, teamwork and communication skills, are woven throughout the program.
  • Students will gain the professional connections and tools to advance their career through a wide range of career development services and opportunities.
