Teach for America Info Session
Class levels: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Master’s, Alumni
Millions of kids in low-income communities don’t have access to an education that allows them to reach their full potential. Teach For America finds and develops great people to be successful teachers in high-need classrooms. Our teachers make a difference in their students’ lives and learn what it takes to be lifelong leaders in the cause to make a great education available to all.
We want corps members to be great teachers and leaders so that they will not only educate their students but also empower them. TFA training and support includes independent pre-work, a summer training program, student teaching, ongoing one-on-one coaching, and more. Learn about our training program
People from all majors, career backgrounds, and experiences choose to teach through TFA.
The corps is the foundation for a lifetime of leadership in all careers and will build the skills needed for success inside and outside of the classroom. Over 60% of our alumni remain in education, and others advocate for students while working in medicine, politics, policy, business, and other fields.
