Audeamus, the UC-wide Multidisciplinary Honors Journal – deadline to submit 12/05/14

University Honors at UC Riverside has extended the deadline for submissions for Audeamus, the UC-wide Multidisciplinary Honors Journal to this Friday, December 5, 2014.

The Audeamus journal was started at University Honors, UC Riverside in 2007 and formerly published the works of undergraduate Honors students across the UC system (this requirement has changed to include all students who have at least a 3.0 GPA).  The students chose to name the journal Audeamus, which means “Let us dare” in Latin, as it “dares” to publish an eclectic journal each year to showcase works of highest merit, no matter what it is (as long as it is reproducible on paper).  Categories include: (1) non/fiction; (2) research papers; (3) poetry; (4) artwork/photography; and (5) other. Audeamus has since published 8 journals and is excited to begin the search this year for its 9th edition.

To be eligible to submit, students are required to:

1.)    Be a CURRENT undergraduate student* enrolled (full time or part time) at a UC school (UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz); AND

2.)    Have a 3.0 GPA at the time of submission, please email Audeamus staff advisor Jane Kim at if a student has questions about this requirement.

* NOTE: Students who just graduated (in the 2013-2014 academic year) from the UC schools listed above are eligible to apply for this year’s journal if they have, for example, a senior thesis paper/project they completed upon graduation and would like to submit this piece to the journal.  Entries from students who graduated further back than the previous academic year are not accepted.
