2014 Senior Exit Survey Results

In 10th week of their final quarter at UCSD, we surveyed our graduating seniors about what they will be doing upon graduation.  Out of 410 students graduating Spring 2014, 155 responded to our senior survey.  We want to thank all of our Seniors who so generously shared their future plans and provided us with useful feedback regarding their instructors and the economics program—Thank you class of 2014, you rock!  Below is a summary of the responses on what students will be doing next year.  In a future blog post, we will report a summary of responses to the question, “What is one piece of advice you’d give to a new Economics/Management Science/Joint Math-Econ major?”

When asked in 10th week of their final quarter at UCSD what they will be doing when they graduate, 2014 grads responded with the following:

  • 49.0% were searching for a job
  • 29.7% have found work
  • 11.0% are continuing their formal education
  • 10.3% Are taking time off or doing something
