UPDATE: Deadline Extended for the 14th Annual Carroll Round Undergraduate Economic Research Conference at Georgetown University

This is a follow-up post to our original post for the 14th Annual Carrol Round Application Process (11/18/14). The submission deadline has been extended to March 15, 2015. Please read the details below:

The Carroll Round is the premier undergraduate economics research conference in the world. Every year around 30 of the brightest undergraduate economics students from a pool of hundreds of applicants from multiple countries join us on the historic Georgetown University campus to engage in a weekend of economics related presentations and discussion. We draw applicants from the world’s leading economics programs, including the University of Chicago, Harvard, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, Oxford and the London School of Economics among many others. We hope that students from University of California at San Diego can be part of this tradition for the 14th annual edition.

We’re delighted to announce that the application for this year’s conference is now available on our websiteThis year’s conference will take place from Thursday, April 16, 2015 to Sunday, April 19, 2015.  We’re also excited to announce Dr. George Akerlof as a keynote speaker. George Akerlof is an Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Economics at University of California, Berkeley. He is also a 2001 recipient of the Alfred E. Nobel Prize, where he was honored for his theory on asymmetric information and its effect on economic behavior. In the coming months we will also announce the addition of another exciting speaker.

DEADLINE EXTENDED to March 15, 2015 and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Since acceptance to the conference is extremely competitive, it is to the applicant’s advantage to submit the application materials as soon as possible, even if it is prior to the deadline. All decisions will be announced on a rolling basis.
