Week 2 TCG GBM – The Elevator Pitch Challenge

Imagine you’re on an elevator and Bob Bechek, CEO of Bain & Co. walks in. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime. You have two minutes to sell yourself for a summer internship before he exits the elevator.

We call this the elevator pitch, and this tends to be the reality at UCSD job fairs. You typically have two to three minutes to make a lasting
impression on prospective employers who see hundreds if not thousands of students throughout the day.

If you’re like some on TCG’s board, you start a conversation about sports. If you’re like others, you ask about company culture. Still others mention friends or connections withinn the company. We’re kicking off the New Year today with an Elevator Pitch Challenge – who can best sell themselves in 2 minutes or less? Expect prizes and come prepared because the real deal starts on Wednesday at the job fair.
